As an officiant
I am authorized to perform legal wedding ceremonies as a minister of the Universal Life Church (ULC). This church is non-denominational, "welcoming individuals of all backgrounds and belief systems" (ULC website).
I am happy to marry any couple of any background who want to make the type of commitment required of a marriage.
We will meet (in-person or via video call) to discuss the specifics of the desired ceremony. Although I am familiar with the customs of several cultures and religions, I am open to learning about other religious, spiritual, and/or cultural traditions that are important to the event. I believe each ceremony should be unique to each couple and I will work with you to make that a reality.
As part of my service, I offer the opportunity for pre-marital education. This is not a requirement, but it is a good opportunity to learn more about each other and how you may want to be within a married relationship.
Pre-marital education
I am not a licensed clinician; however, I have a Master's in Social Work and a PhD in Social Welfare. In addition, I've been with my husband for 20 years and we've experienced it all: the good, the bad, the ugly, the beautiful, the sorrows, and the joys. Through it all, I've learned a thing or two.
